More About Coach Ryan….

Coach Ryan has cherished the opportunity to use basketball as a vehicle to positively impact those around him, both in his local community and around the world (in Ireland, South Africa, Sweden, and more).

The game taught him so much about life and prepared him to be successful, and it is those lessons that he seeks to bring to the court and share with players of all ages.

PLAYING EXPERIENCE

  • Played at Davidson College (2013-2014)

    • Went to an NIT and 2 NCAA Tournaments. Combined record of 89-44

  • Played professionally in Belfast, Northern Ireland (2014-2015)

    • Won the National League Title

  • Played at Chestnut Hill Academy (2007-2010)

    • Won Inter-Ac with a 10-0 record, for the first time in school history

COACHING EXPERIENCE

  • Currently Head Varsity Boys’ Basketball Coach at La Salle College HS

    • Entering 2nd season (2024-2025)

  • Head Varsity Boys’ Basketball Coach at Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy

    • Lead the team to win the Division with a record of 7-1 (11-5 Overall)

  • Assistant Basketball Coach at Swarthmore College (2015-2021)

    • #1 ranked in the country in 2020

    • Reached DIII National Championship in 2019, Elite 8 in 2018, NCAA Round of 32 in 2017 and recorded the best record in school history every season (127 W - 25 L)

    • Coached Swarthmore’s first 3 All-Americans

    • Coached 7 All-Conference players

    • On staff of Centennial Conference Coach of the Year (COY 4 of 5 years)

      and National Coach of the Year (2020)

  • Coached U18 Northern Ireland team to National Shield Tournament Championship
